About this role
The Elementary School Principal is the instructional and cultural leader of the Elementary School at Kazakhstan International School (KIS). Reporting to the Head of School, the Principal is responsible for student achievement, faculty growth, and the overall quality of the educational experience. This includes ensuring a safe, nurturing, and supportive environment, maintaining high standards of teaching and learning, and building strong partnerships with students, staff, and families during these foundational years of a child's
education.
Responsibilities
Provide visible, hands-on leadership through daily engagement with students, faculty, and parents. Ensure the Elementary School program reflects the mission and vision of KIS, the IB Learner Profile, and international best practices. Lead strategic planning, goal-setting, and school improvement aligned with the School Improvement Plan. Ensure consistency in curriculum through strong vertical alignment (grade to grade) and horizontal alignment (across classrooms within a grade level).
Requirements
Master's degree in Education or related field, with valid teaching certification
Successfully demonstrated leadership experience in related role
