IB Diploma Coordinator

The DP Coordinator is accountable to the Head of School for the quality, integrity, and results of the IB Diploma Programme at KIS. The Coordinator has the authority to plan and manage the processes of change needed to develop the DP, and holds functional responsibility for the delivery of the programme, the quality of DP teaching, and the accuracy of assessment and predicted grades.

The Coordinator is the primary point of contact between the school and the IB, administers all internal and external assessment, and communicates DP information to the whole school community. The Coordinator must have thorough knowledge of the Handbook of Procedures for the Diploma Programme and the General Regulations: Diploma Programme, and must be given sufficient non-contact time to meet the demands of the role - in this case the successful candidate will teach a maximum of 3 classes in an 8-block schedule. • Recognized teaching qualification

• Multiple Years Experience in the IB Diploma

• A Master's Degree in Educational Leadership

• Previous experience as at DP Coorinator

• Member of IBEN (workshop leader or examiner)
