MYP Mandarin Language Acquisition and DP Chinese Language & Literature Teacher

Vientiane International School in Laos is seeking an inspiring MYP Mandarin and DP Chinese Language & Literature Teacher to join our diverse, inclusive learning community. The successful candidate will design engaging, inquiry-base language experiences that develop communication skills, cultural understanding, and a love of learning. • Teach Mandarin Language Acquisition and Chinese Language & Literature in alignment with IB MYP and DP frameworks.

• Design engaging, inquiry-driven lessons that develop language proficiency and intercultural understanding.

• Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of multilingual learners.

• Collaborate with colleagues to design meaningful, interdisciplinary learning experiences.

• Support students in preparation for DP assessments and oral examinations.

• Contribute to language and cultural events that enrich the life of the school.

• Bachelor’s degree in Chinese/Mandarin, Education, or a related field (Master’s preferred).

• Valid teaching qualification.

• Two or more years of Chinese/Mandarin teaching experience, preferably in an international or IB setting.

• Experience teaching both MYP and DP (Language B and/or Language A) preferred.

• Strong communication, collaboration, and intercultural skills.
